Thuja Green Giant is a fast growing evergreen tree, deer-resistant, aromatic, and is used for wind breaks, Christmas trees, or as a distinctive specimen. Its growth habits are similar to Leylands. Once established, expect about 3 feet of growth per year. Thuja Green Giants do great in the South, but have a farther reach North than Leylands. Zone 5 - 8. They tend to bronze a bit in the winter, but green back beautifully in the Spring. Landscape Architects are beginning to use fast growing Thuja Green Giants instead of Leyland Cypress because they are resistant to the fungus (Cerosporidium sequoiae) that is damaging Leylands. Also available in 1 Gallon, 1 1/2 - 2 feet tall Sold in cases of 10. Click picture below for larger image. Please call 1-800-761-3276 for prices. Click the above picture for an exciting new Thuja!
