Carolina Sapphire is a super fast growing evergreen tree. Like a Leyland Cypress, Carolina Sapphire establishes quickly but is often faster growing. It also does better in marginal soils than Leylands. Carolina Sapphire gains width quicker than Thuja Green Giant and is a much better choice for the deep south heat. Carolina Sapphire is hardy in zones 7 - 10. Plant as close as 6' apart for a privacy screen.
